Emily - The Beauty behind Belle Papers and Parties

I met Emily through a mutual friend, around the time we were both striking out to start our own businesses. She is a beautiful person, inside and out!  I love meeting hard working moms, who are brave enough to turn their creativity into a business.  Emily is an event planner and organizer extraordinaire!  Her business, Belle Papers and Parties, was the brains behind my Avary's 5 year old Parisian birthday party.  Emily and I bartered...photographs for party planning.  Perfect!

Emily brought some of her fun party decor for our photographs!

Here is a little sample of what Emily helped me pull together for Avary's 5th birthday party.  I think you'll agree it was tres magnifique!

And because of our efforts, this is how happy my girl was on her special day...

Emily, thank you for all of your help with the party planning!  You are so talented and I wish you all the best!

Congratulations, Josh, Elizabeth and Audrey!

Authentic.  That's the word I would use to sum up Josh and Elizabeth and their love for one another and their daughter, Audrey.  I first met this sweet family when Audrey was just a baby.  It was one of my first sessions, early in my business.  Since then I've had the joy of photographing them two more times.  Each time I'm with them, I'm struck with their commitment to one another and their honest and authentic love for each other.  Josh and Elizabeth got married at a wedding chapel in Vegas and wanted some photos of the two of them, and their family, to commemorate their special day.  (Plus, they had these great outfits that needed to be worn again!)  We met at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna...one of my favorite locations!  Here are my favorites.

Congratulations, guys!  I hope to see you again soon!

Kennedy is 1!

I could hardly believe it when Amanda contacted me about a 1 year session for her sweet girl!  It feels like only a few months ago, I was taking pictures of Amanda's baby bump and hearing for the first time that they had decided on the name Kennedy for their precious, long awaited baby girl.  And it feels like yesterday that I was taking newborn photos of Kennedy!  I was also excited about the session because it meant I got to see the family's new home and visit with my friend who I don't see often enough.  I had a great time catching up with the whole crew.  Here are some of my favorites from our time together.

Kennedy's big brother, Keegan, is all boy!  I had to be pretty sly to get photos of him.  He likes to be on the move!  Thankfully, I have experience with this in my own house, so I've had plenty of practice. :)

I love how sweet these two are together!  The relationship between a sister and her big brother is so special.

Kennedy has quite the collection of headbands and hair bows!  Her momma knows how to dress a little girl!

Aw, Daddy love!

Anyone who knows Keegan, knows this pic captures him perfectly!

Cutie!

Lovin' this pic of Travis and Amanda!

And before I left, I got to witness some serious family fun. :)

Thanks for another great session, guys!  See you soon!
