Ani & Vince | Shenandoah National Park Wedding

Ani and Vince had the most beautiful wedding ceremony in Shenandoah National Park.  The two of them, and their families, were some of the kindest people I had ever met!  It was just the two of them and their immediate families...and their adorable little dog, Mojo!

It was so hard to narrow down which photos to share because the whole day was breathtaking!

Ani and Vince made portraits so easy!  They were so happy after the ceremony and their joy came through in all their photos.

And of course we couldn't forget Mojo!

Ani and Vince, I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Sister Love | Personal Post

(Me and my baby sister--circa 1992)

I was just shy of 13 when my baby sister was born.  I remember my friends decorating my middle school locker in celebration of her arrival.  Since there was such a big age difference between the two of us, our relationship was different than most siblings.  We never really had any rivalry, never fought about sharing toys or had arguments over staying on our own side of the car during family trips.  Instead, she was always this sweet little person who loved me unconditionally and looked up to me much more than I deserved.  When I left for college, she was ready to start kindergarten.  I remember coming home to lots of letters and pictures and hugs and kisses.  Just the other day, I found this sweet note she wrote for me.

Now Rachel is 21 and will be graduating from Arizona State University in December.  She's still just as sweet as she was 15 years ago.  But  now, I am looking up to her--inspired by her hard work and drive.  I'm so proud of the beautiful woman she's grown into.

I love you, Rach!  I am so thankful that you are my sister and I'm so excited to see what your future holds!

(And just to redeem myself from that first picture I posted...a more recent pic of the two of us, with our beautiful mom.)

Megan & Dan | Baldwin Farm Wedding, Aylett VA

As we drove South I kept praying that the rain would pass!  The forecast showed scattered storms through the whole day but we all know that forecasts can be wrong and I was really hoping this one was. Megan and Dan are the sweetest couple and I knew that so much time, effort and planning had gone into their outdoor wedding.  I was a nervous wreck for them!  About 30 minutes before I got to the venue a small ray of light started to shine through the clouds.  And by the time we arrived at The Baldwin Farm, the scattered showers had scattered!  It did rain on and off all day, but it didn't spoil a thing!  I absolutely loved witnessing these two begin their life as one.  I'm excited to share just a sample of their day with you!

Megan's dress belonged to her Grandmother and was altered by her aunt!

Megan and her girls got ready in the big beautiful home on the farm.

Megan was just glowing!

Dan and his guys were so much fun!

Megan didn't want Dan to see her before the ceremony, but they did spend a few moments together...

Time for the main event!

All the details at the reception were perfect and personal.  Loved it all!

Dan and Megan both recently graduated from JMU, so Megan's sister made this adorable cake topper for them!

Dan and Megan, thank you for allowing me to be part of your wedding day.  It was an honor!  Wishing you all the best...
