The Navin Family | Old Town Warrenton Family Session

The Navins are close friends of ours so I was super excited to do a session with them!  Not only are they great friends, but they have hearts of gold!  I've never known a family that was more giving.  They are true servants and their strong faith is at the center of all they do.  Elena and Kelsi are two very special girls with unique personalities.  Elena is incredibly smart and thoughtful and wise beyond her years.  Kelsi is spunky and has personality times ten (and the cutest freckles)!  Derek and Jodi are celebrating 10 years of marriage this week so we also had to get a few pics of just the two of them.  And since they recently bought a home closer to Warrenton, so Old Town was the perfect spot to take some photos that commemorate 2012.  It was so hard to narrow down, but I chose some of my favorites to share...

Thanks Navin family!  Derek and Jodi, have an amazing time on your anniversary trip.  Can't wait to hear about it!

Ted, Danielle, Sophie and Ewan | Family Session

It's so encouraging to me to receive sweet words from clients after they receive their photos.  It seems anytime I begin to feel discouraged or less than confident, a client steps in with a sweet email or phone call that keeps me going.  I was incredibly busy last fall juggling teaching and running a business.  Honestly, October and November of 2011 are still sort of a blur to me!  But soon after photographing this sweet family last fall, Danielle wrote me the kindest, most honest email.  I'm not sure I ever told her what it meant to me at that difficult moment.  It was a blessing at just the right time.  So when she asked me to photograph her beautiful crew again this year, I was so excited!  Sophie and Ewan had grown so much!  We had a great time one warm fall afternoon at Silver Lake Park.  Ted and Danielle are such caring and patient parents.  It made for a really happy session!  I'm happy to share some of my favorites from the day.

Mahar Family | Fall Session

The Mahars are great friends of ours.  Ryan was in our preschool class two years ago and is just one of the coolest kids I know!  He has so much energy and the very best smile.  Mackenna is an absolute sweetie with a wonderful independent spirit.  We're thankful to have Jerry and Shannon as part of our life group.  Their kids are a great reflection of them--strong, positive, determined and thoughtful.  I had a blast during our session.  It's always fun to take pics of people you love!  It was so hard to narrow down my favorites, but I tried!
