I could tell from the first email I received from Mallorie that she had the sweetest spirit! You know those people who just ooze goodness? Yep, she's one of them! I was extra excited and honored when she asked me to take some photos of her family, announcing that they are expecting their second child. We had such a fun time and I am already looking forward to my next session with this adorable family.
Congratulations, guys! I can't wait to meet the newest addition to your sweet family!

seven on sunday | volume 5 (spring break edition)
Hi friends! So it's technically seven on Monday this week, since yesterday was Easter and I didn't have a moment to be on my computer. Last week, over spring break, we decided to be tourists in our own city. I decided to share 7 pics from our time there. It had been awhile since I had photographed anything in DC (other than people) so I had a lot of fun with it!

seven on sunday | volume 4
I just couldn't narrow it down to 7 photos this week, so I chose 7 moments...
1/ Some Journey and air guitar before dinner with my girl
2/ More Spring blossoms
3/ Exploring the kids' "fort" for the first time in months and the return of tree climbing
4/ Kitchen helpers and sweet moments between siblings
4/ A Starbucks date with my good lookin' husband (and can we just talk about the pink cup sleeves!)
5/ Gorgeous weekend weather and Easter egg hunting (realizing the days my kids will enjoy these things are numbered)
6/ Watching Grant's sweet relationship with his buddy Gabriel. (And being so proud of his patience and love with young kids.)
7/ Later nights outside and watching more sunsets through the buds of pink trees
Looking forward to some Spring break adventures this week!

Caleb | Maternity, Newborn and Sibling Session
Well, from the title you can probably tell that this blog has been a long time coming! I first took maternity and family photos for the Rounsavalls back in the fall. Then I got to visit them just days after they came home from the hospital with sweet baby Caleb. A month later I returned to snap some photos of Caleb with his big brother, who had just returned from a visit with his grandparents.
Gabriel has been in front of my camera since he was a newborn, and he never disappoints! He is so much fun!
And then, along came Caleb!
I normally don't get to photograph babies at 1 month, so it was a special treat to go back and see just how much Caleb had grown and changed just in those first weeks!
In typical 2 year old fashion, Gabriel wasn't really in posing for any pics with his baby brother...at first. So we just gave him some time to warm up to the idea. :)
And then a little bit of magic happened. :)
And right before I was ready to leave, we got the pic Mom had been wanting of her two sweethearts together. I honestly wasn't ready and my settings were slightly off. Although technically, it's not my best work, I was so thankful to catch this quick moment!
Love you guys! Thanks for letting me capture so many of your precious memories for you. xo
