It doesn't matter how many times I see a newborn baby...I am always surprised at how tiny they are! I was able to photograph Asher during his first week at home. This brand spankin' new little man is absolutely precious and so, so tiny. During my first visit it was just him and his momma. Brittany was so peaceful, patient and calm with him, even while he was cranky. I was totally impressed! I came back a few days later and took some more photos, while Dad was there. Asher was much happier that day and we captured so much preciousness! Get ready because this is one cute baby boy... :)
What a sweet family of 3!
Congratulations, Brian and Brittany! I'm excited to watch Asher grow. Thanks for trusting me with these precious memories.

The Halls | Family Session
We were really blessed to have met the Halls last fall. Brooke (the baby of the family) was in my pre-school class and also quickly became our little Avary's BFF! We were sad for us, but happy for them, when we found out they were moving back to their home state of Michigan when the school year was over. Before they left, I was able to take some pictures of them in Virginia, at the Battlefield in Manassas. We started at the Stone Bridge area.
Kiera and Ava are twins who both have wonderful and unique personalities. Brooke is a little sweetie and the ultimate charmer! And wow, did these girls know how to pose! I told them I needed to hire them as assistants so they could share all their creative posing ideas with me! :)
It's obvious where the girls' beauty comes from!
At the end of the session, we went to the main area of the Battlefield. The light was incredible! Kudos to James and Heather for letting the girls run in all this tall grass. They had a blast (and I did too)!
Their family dog, Cayman, came along as well. Doesn't he look majestic? :)
Thanks for the great session, guys! We are already missing you in Virginia!

Lauren and Mike | Couple's Session
You might recognize Lauren and Mike from the session I did with them in the rain. It took almost a year (and several reschedules) to get a dry day for photos, that worked for both of us! They are an incredibly sweet couple and very in love. I enjoyed catching up with them last month when we met at Manassas Battlefield to finish the session they started as an engaged couple and finished as newlyweds!
Mike serves in the military and so Lauren had the idea to use his boots and dog tags (and her boots) in some photos. She also brought a small flag. I love when clients have great ideas to personalize their sessions!
Thanks, Lauren and Mike, for trusting me with your photos again. I'm so thankful we all stayed dry this time! Hope to see you again soon.
